The Cold War at Home: The Red Scare in Pennsylvania, 1945-1960
A very interesting book for any Pennsylvania resident who grew up there in the 50's and 60's - especially if you came from an immigrant background. According to this author, the 'Reds' were really there, and the right-wingers wanted them hunted down and their activities stopped. To think all this was going on while I was in high school!
